  15. developer headquartered in Chicago, Illinois and AMIGA Technologies GmbH,

  17. Bensheim, Germany, have finalized an international license agreement to
  18. adapt, utilize, license and
  19. distribute the AMIGA technology within VISCORP's interactive intelligent
  20. set-top TV appliance -
  21. Electronic Device (ED). The license authorizes VISCORP the right to use,
  22. re-license and distribute the
  23. AMIGA atible parts of current versions of the
  24. technologies where the
  25. AMIGA products are used as, or as part of, interactive television devices.

  27. In 1995, ESCOM AG acquired all Commodore and AMIGA licenses, patents and
  28. trademarks. Amiga
  29. is an acknowledged leader in the computer industry in the area of
  30. providing high-quality graphics for
  31. monitors and television broadcasts through their sophisticated chip sets.
  32. The combination of the
  33. AMIGA hardware/software technologies and intuitive operating system makes
  34. them a viable
  35. contender in the development of high-speed delivery for complex graphic
  36. programming. The AMIGA
  37. technology can import and adapt software to the set-top box with minimal
  38. changes.

  40. By employing the sophisticated AMIGA chip set, VISCORP will have the
  41. ability to provide a
  42. complex set-top appliance withmultitasking functions to integrate
  43. affordably the TV set, phone line,
  44. and network service providers. This ability has not yet been offered or
  45. available through existing
  46. systems" said Jerome Greenberg, VISCORP's chairman of the board. "By
  47. utilizing our unique set top
  48. appliance and incorporating the AMIGA technology, VISCORP is able to
  49. provide a complete practical
  50. solution for interactive TV-services, and now the ability to access the
  51. Internet through a standard TV
  52. set with pricing that makes sense for the average TV viewer".

  54. The integration of the AMIGA system with the VISCORP set-top appliance
  55. will allow access to the
  56. Internet, on-line services and voice "chat" programs through the T
  57. V set.
  58. As planned, ED will access
  59. any on-line services and any address on the Internet's superhighway.
  60. Access can be though a TV
  61. remote, a computer keyboard, a touch-sensitive pen or the microphone in
  62. the ED. Additional plans
  63. will enable consumers to play games (e.g., individually, against a
  64. networked opponent), or enable
  65. home shopping, electronic banking, and enable a subscriber to gain access
  66. to information services
  67. through a TV set.
